HRSS
Gathering
20 Jul 2003, MacRitchie
Reservoir Park
After
several postponements of outdoor activities due to the
Sars outbreak, HRSS finally gathered together all bunnies
and their caretakers on 20th July 2003 at MacRitchie
Reservoir Park.
It was a cloudy yet hot & sunny afternoon but it
did not deter some 40 bunny-lovers from turning up for
the gathering with their beloved pets.
It
started off with a self-introduction of the caretakers
and their bunnies at 3pm. The following 2 hours, 30
rabbits had fun hopping around the vast green grass
and checking out each other.
Several
bunnies were first timers and were naturally curious
about the new big green environment but nevertheless
it did not stop them from venturing further (with their
anxious caretakers hovering around). Other bunnies were
busy catching up with their long time friends which
they last met at previous gatherings.
When
the bunnies got tired and rested, the caretakers took
the opportunity to catch up with one another, exchanging
tips and sharing anecdotes of their little ones.
There were some caretakers that were busy following
and keeping their bunnies within their vicinity the
whole time while their bunnies were actively running
around. From time to time, we spotted a few furries
who chose to deck out under the umbrellas from the glaring
sun.
The
spectacular sight of so many rabbits hopping on the
ground amazed some passer-bys and many especially kids
could not resist giving some pats to the bunnies that
raced pass them.
Everyone
enjoyed himself or herself just as much as the bunnies
did. At the end of it, we are sure all of us are happily
exhausted and couldn't resist a quick nap (like this
fella here) on our way home.
