Belle's Update
Jun 2010

Hello, I am Belle and has recovered better. I gain weight from 0.9kg to 1.45kg. From I couldn’t stand up to walk to re-gain her walking ability and able to eat on my own. Watch me on youtube.

HRSS' note:

Rabbits are fighters and they strive to live on. With intensive and continuous love, care and concerns on Belle's situation. Her condition improves a deal. NEVER give up your rabbit when he/she is sick. Standby your furry friend to give more TLCs to them.

Special thank to:

Jackie Fang on her sponsored medical expenses, Chung Li Li and Helen Ng on their kind donation to Belle. Not forgetting, Danella from Lopp.com who gave Belle a special rate on oxbow critical care when I need to fatten her up. Also, Yeng Kiat on doing this video.

** Belle will need long term medical care and regular trips to the vet. She also need special supplements to her diet and also special housing arrangements like pee pads to be lay on the floor.

HRSS Recent Rescues - Appeal for Belle
February 2010

Belle was rescued together with her companion Poppy back in Oct 2008. They were abandoned in aside a fenced up abandoned house where they have been feeding on the grass for survival.

More than 1 year has passed since their rescue and while they are safe and happily awaiting for their loving home, Belle was struck by a sudden headtilt problem last month. She was rushed to our rabbit-savvy vet immediately for a medical check. The actual cause to her headtilt condition was unknown but our vet suspected it to be E. cuniculi due to her existing flicking right eye. After few weeks of treatment, her condition didn't improved. We were saddened by the fact that her headtilt will probably stay with her for life.

Belle is now being cared for by one of our volunteers where she will receive all the love and care she needs. Despite her headtilt, Belle remains a happy girl and has such good appetite and always eager for a nice little treat from her caregiver.

** Belle will need long term medical care and regular trips to the vet. She also need special supplements to her diet and also special housing arrangements like pee pads to be lay on the floor.
