Houdini and Sweetpeare a bonded father and daughter pair of Lionhead rabbits. With short body fur and an impressive ruff of long fur around their heads they require an occasional brushing which both accept without too many protests. They are a very active and inquisitve pair, keen to explore their surrounds. Sweetpea, who because of her pink eyes does not see as well as her dark-eyed father, lets Houdini take the lead in their adventures.
Both rabbits have tonnes of energy and love to sprint through rooms and down hallways, often executing 'binkies' - high jumps accompanied by exuberant flicks of the head and tail - in bursts of high spirits. Houdini also likes to jump onto sofas to check out what the view is like from higher up. While both rabbits will respond to being called for food they are a little wary and not particularly affectionate to people, although they are never aggressive.
However their very affectionate nature to each other and their constant interest and interaction with all that goes on in their home make them a delight to live with. With patience and respect both would learn to enjoy human interactions more. |
