Dear sponsor and friends,
We always love to share good news with fellow rabbit lovers!
Here are a few quick updates about our foster bunnies:
* First Quarter of 2008:
Almond & Cutie, Brownie, Toffee, Mocca, Baby, Button, Gulliver, Chilli, Padi, Piquinn, Charlee and Kia found wonderful new homes.
Wai Wai, Bit and Nini (the littles ones we are helping owners to rehome) have also been adopted.
Toffee was a rabbit given up by a family who kept complaining that she bit their wires and bit their children. She has just also found a new home with an owner who loves her for who she is - loving nips and nibbles and all. Now she is given free roam of the whole house.
Almond and Cutie were originally adopted by this 11 year old girl whose family has since migrated and they made their way back to HRSS foster care. Now they too have free roam of the whole house, at their new permanent home!
It’s really heartening to see our bunnies given the whole house to run and binky.
* March 2008 - More successful adoptions and hoppy endings!
Cole, Butter, Tira & Misu and Coco & Momo have been adopted.
There is a drop in the number of adoptions is due to the Chinese New Year season. Though it is sad to encounter cases of neglect and abandonment like that of Bubble’s:
http://www.hrss.net/abt/rescue/rescue_bubbles.html
Thanks to the united hard work of our adoption/fostering officers, the HRSS team as well as your support, Bubbles and all our foster rabbits now can have a better future in loving homes.
Help us help rabbits!
Once again, on behalf of all our sweet foster rabbits, thank you!

I was down at the Maad Market @ Red Dot Museum last Saturday to support our Best SalesPerson of HRSS events, Amy. She was there with her potterys and I thot I should swing by and show my support and recognition for our best “Sales” Staff. Hehe..

Amy makes great pottery but as guilty as I can get, I have to admit I’m not so much of a Arty Farty person so most of her stuffs just looks like normal bowls and vases to me.. But nevertheless, I love her bunny-related items…
<- Hare & Turtle Sugar container

Fr L to R - Rabbit Ring Holder, Chopsticks Holder, Rabbits’ Angels
She was also nice enough to bring along some our our Love ‘em All Calendars for sale at her booth…

The Lady busy selling calendars to everyone who popped by…
It was a good few hours of laughing around with her there and to show my support, i went home with 2 of her lovely creations..

Faith, Hardy, Little July, Miracle and Sherlock suffered immensely and tragically before they found their solace in HRSS. Unfortunately, they are only one part of ever-rising statistics of pet abandonment and neglect in Singapore.
Rabbits under HRSS foster care have their own individual heart-breaking past to share with us. Their sad plights call out for much needed work in raising awareness for all rabbits - they should be treated with respect and dignity as human companions. At the same time, the rescued rabbits under foster care deserve second chances at life.
Every bit counts.
A Miracle Can Happen – Sponsor a Bunny
Help our foster rabbits today, by becoming a sponsor. If your rabbit would like to help a fellow friend in need, he or she can become a sponsor too! It’s a great way to make a friend - and make a difference!
Through your kind generosity you can support and improve the quality of life of our foster rabbits, while they await a new lease of life in permanent loving homes, made possible by our comprehensive adoption programme.
Your one-time support immediately saves rabbit lives:
* 18 Carrot sponsorship (Foster) of $30 pays for one month care of a foster rabbit and donations at this level are urgently needed to continue HRSS’ lifesaving work.
* 24 Carrot sponsorship (Rescue) of $90 pays for the spay or neuter or food and toys for a deserving rescue rabbit.
* Platinum sponsorship (Angel Missions) of one-off lump sum of $120 contributes to urgent cases HRSS come across and special appeals (e.g. HRSS Special Appeal, printing of postcards and other educational material and the production of HRSS educational video)
Your contributions will also go directly to:
Fresh fruits and vegetables
Litter
Medical fees
Sterilization costs
Treats
Quality hay and pellets
When you sponsor a HRSS foster rabbit and join our Carrots program, you will take with you a special “Golden Carrot” momento to keep.
